We Have Moved!!!

First of all I would like to thank everyone who took the time to come here and check out and follow my project.

This has been encouraging enough for me to carry on with this project and try to complete the whole 365 days without any excuses. Even when I am traveling. This "no excuse" rule that I enforced upon myself comes to two reasons: a) Your dedication and following and b) Technology nowadays allows you to post from anywhere so even when I am abroad I should dedicate a few minutes to address my audience who will be awaiting my regular updates... So no excuses!

Having said all that, I have made my personal space on the web live on http://fareedamin.com and that's where you will be getting the daily updates. This space was temporary no matter how filled it got and I am happy it happened sooner than later when it had to get packed with posts. So from now on please point your browsers to http://fareedamin.com

Wish you all the best and many many thanks from my heart for your support and kind words.. I shall not disappoint you :)

365 Project (3/365) January 3rd, 2011

I was in Souq Waqef (1st Roundabout, Hamad Town) and bought a couple of charcoal-grilled corn made by this very cheerful guy. He was more than happy to see me taking pics of him. Will give him a printout. After all, he earned it! Oh, and if you ever go there, be sure to pick a couple of grilled corn from him, really worth it!

365 Project (2/365) January 2nd, 2011

My sister owns this turtle and it caught my attention, so decided to have some fun photography with it especially when you are the proud owned of the EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens. What a fun lens to work with. Highly recommended!

365 Project (1/365) January 1st, 2011

So 2011 is upon us. Happy new year everyone! Wish you and your families a blessed and prosperous year ahead and times filled with joy and happiness!

The project has officially started and there isn't a more appropriate way than to start it with our holy book, the Holy Quran...

Was experimenting with my macro lens and was happy with the way this shot turned out.

365 Project (-1/365) December 31st, 2010

I must admit that I had to make this a quick one as I won't be able to post around midnight as I will be heading out with my lovely wife for new year's celebration. So I took a quick one of Yara while playing in her play bin. Just sticking to my promise of one picture a day... Happy new year everyone :)

365 Project (-2/365) December 30th, 2010

I am at a friend's desert camp as I am typing this, it's amazing what mobile internet can do for you. Therefore there are no excuses for not being able to post any pic from anywhere at any time!

I was looking around for interesting subjects to photograph and since my night light painting crew did not show up as I had that activity planned for the project. I looked around and found this natural gas well burning off excess gas. Hope you enjoy!

365 Project (-3/365) December 29th, 2010

Okay so today my wife and I took the kids out to play near where I was photographing last night, it's the Children Kingdom near the Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH). Since I have already taken pictures of the King Faisal highway there was no point in me repeating shots and since this is a 365 project I will NOT be posting any other photos of another day even if I have more than one good photo, only one will make it here. In the coming posts I shall share with you the rules I have set for this project.

When we got home my son Yousif was still in a playful mood so I managed to take this shot of him. Usually photographers say that taking pics of children is not an easy job at all and I completely agree with them as they won't stand or sit still and always will make a sudden move that with luck the shot might turn out perfect despite you not planning for it. Or on the other hand completely ruin the shot and never will they give you the same pose again!

Here is Yousif saying hi to all of you :)
